The Rubber Block French Link Pelham bit was designed to discourage fixing and leaning on the forehand. This softer version of our traditional stainless steel block model encourages suppleness and responsiveness. The Pelham cheek piece allows for additional leverage. When the reins are engaged, the rubber blocks apply pressure to the bars of the mouth which advises the horse to lift the balance and soften their mouth.
The French link primarily applies even pressure to the tongue, encouraging relaxation and softness, while its flat design eliminates pressure on the palate and reduces sharp or uneven contact on the bars.
