The key-ball airbag lanyard is connected to the trigger mechanism that will activate the CO2 gas cartridge in case of a fall. It comes installed and ready to use with all airbags. All you need to do is attach the carabiner to the saddle strap to install it (see tab above). All Helite air vests have a lanyard included; this is a replacement lanyard in case of loss, damage, etc.
